Blessed Samhain (a little late)

Samhain Blessings

Sorry I was a little late posting this, but I wanted to wish you all a Blessed Samhain and Happy Halloween!

For those of you who don't know, being a Wiccan I celebrate Oct 31st a little differently that most of the world. For me Halloween or Samhain (pronounced "SOW-in" in Ireland, SOW-een in Wales, "SAV-en" in Scotland or even "SAM-haine" in non Gaelic speaking countries) is a celebration of the final harvest of the year.  It also represents the thinning of the veil between the spirit world and ours.

If you'd like to learn more about Samhain and how many modern Pagans and Wiccans celebrate, please feel free to visit the link below. http://www.witchvox.com/va/dt_va.html?a=usma&c=holidays&id=2204

For now, may the Lord and Lady shine upon you and yours, and as the nights get longer and the days get cooler (for those of us in the northern hemisphere at least :), I send you Samhain Blessings and "witches" for a healthy harvest and bountiful year to come.

Blessed Be!
