SEAL Wolf In Too Deep (Heart of the Wolf #18)
by Terry Spear
Blurb:
Debbie
Renaud is a police diver working on criminal cases with SEAL Allan Rappaport.
She admires him greatly for his missions in the Navy, plus he's just plain HOT.
Allan seems to share her attraction, but what she doesn't know is that her
partner is wolf shifter.
Allan
is really hung up on his smart, beautiful dive partner, but he can't get
involved with a human outside dive duty. Yet when she gets between a werewolf
hunter and his intended victim, one of the members of Allan's pack, they run
into real trouble, and their lives are altered forever.

Review:
Another story in the Heart of the Wolf series
has come to our shelves and the story of Debbie and Allan is an interesting if
confusing one. I enjoyed reading the
story once I fully engaged in it, but to be honest the first half was not my
favorite and it seemed to drag quite a bit while also being very confusing with
the innuendo, people pretending to believe in werewolves, even talking about
werewolves like they were real, but not truly believing and round and round the
story went. Allan was a good guy,
obviously smitten with Debbie, but unwilling to give in to his desires until
he has the approval of his pack leaders.
Debbie is seriously into Allan, but doesn’t understand why he keeps
pulling back from her. When they are
faced with an increasingly complicated police investigation leading them down
unplanned paths, Allan and Debbie are forced closer and closer together. Debbie's life is changed in an instant and
Allan finally has a chance to bring Debbie into his world. There are a few laughs and some tears as
well, but in the end the love between Allan and Debbie is obvious and once they
overcome their fears and the forces keeping them apart the passion between them
is palpable and undeniable. I am looking
forward to seeing what story will come next and hope that the next book will be
a bit more fast-paced and will not drag.
The series continues on and usually I have no problem saying it will be
a long one, but I hope for some new life to be breathed into the series
soon. Spear continues to be one of my
favorite authors and her books are great, to be sure, so I will keep being a fan
forever, even if there are a few stories here and there that aren’t 100% my
favorites.
