Mini-Review: Commanded (Club Sin #6)

Commanded (Club Sin #6)

by Stacey Kennedy

Blurb:

A dedicated cop, Sawyer Quinn blows off steam by immersing himself in his role as a Master at the hottest club in Las Vegas. But when Sawyer goes after the perp who brutally beat his sister, he teams up with Chloe Nash, a sexy private investigator who awakens a sweet new need: to keep her to himself, away from the dungeon of Club Sin. Chloe is beautiful, smart, and too innocent for the BDSM lifestyle. Sawyer’s never wanted a woman like this before. Is her love worth swearing off the one thing that keeps him sane?
There’s something different about Sawyer: a commanding strength that pulls Chloe into a vortex of heady desire. But when she learns about his double life as a Dom, she’s shocked—and afraid she could never complete him. Then he saves her life, and just like that, Chloe knows she will be able to give him anything he desires. She is his—wherever and however he wants to take her.

Review:
The final of the founding Masters of Club Sin has found his soulmate and the story of bringing her to accept his love is one that I loved, despite all the tears, misconceptions, and fears that had to be confronted before Sawyer and Chloe found their way to true happiness.  Previous fans of this series might be a little surprised by the directions Sawyer's book has takes, mainly having very little scenes set in Club Sin, but the truth is Chloe and Sawyer’s story is just too big to be contained.  Sawyer has wanted Chloe since the first moment he set eyes on her, though she was taken by another man, and when he gets another chance with her there is no way he will deny that emotion.  Chloe has changed a lot in her life recently but she knows she needs to wait before she even attempts something as crazy as a relationship with Sawyer.  When they are thrown together on the hunt for his sister’s attacker, Chloe and Sawyer have to find a way to deal with their attraction and still accomplish their goals.   As innocent as Chloe was, she was still a very likeable character, strong enough to stand up to Sawyer and still able to bring a light to his darkness.   Sawyer was also a wonderful character, full of sensuality and sweetness, while still maintaining his Dominance and badassness.  Seeing him change his life, or rather accept the changes that Chloe brings about, shows his true inner strength and that while he might be a sexual dominant he is in no way a hard man and understands that, sometimes, compromises can lead to the true happiness in life.  I was sad to know that this series was ending, even though I enjoyed seeing each of the men find true love, and was thrilled to know there was one more coming with Presley and Dmitri’s story continuing.  Commanded is a truly great story about two people infinitely well-matched and in love and I enjoyed reading every second of it.
