Zoe’s stalker has been murdered…
Dr. Zoe Hansen was forced to leave her beloved hospital job to escape a stalker. It worked—or so she thought. She’s terrified when he reappears in her life one night—and stunned when he turns up viciously murdered soon after. She’s arrested for the crime, but she quickly clears her name. Unfortunately, her problems are far from over. She’ll have to accept the protection of the one man she shouldn’t want.
…now she’s in more danger than ever before.
Former Navy SEAL Sawyer McCabe might not know the gorgeous Zoe as well as he wants to, but he knows all about trouble. So when she's threatened, he steps in to help her regardless of the consequences and gets her out of town. But it’s not enough to escape a determined killer. As the danger closes in they have to trust each other if they want to stay alive. And Sawyer’s determined to do whatever it takes to keep Zoe safe and in his arms. Because Zoe is worth risking everything for.

Review:
Talk about the unluckiest week ever! Poor Zoe thought she was finally going to be safe from her stalker, when he suddenly pops back up in her life—as a murder victim.  Now she’s a suspect in his death and has a new problem: since she didn’t kill him, who did?  And is she really safe now that he’s dead?  Master storyteller Katie Reus takes us on a wild ride through the challenges Zoe faces and the drama and danger only Red Stone Specialist Sawyer McCabe can protect her from.  Rich in passion, imagination and the second chance for a woman to find safety Deadly Fallout portrays the sometimes-terrifying consequences of simply living our lives.  I have never read a story by Reus I didn’t love, or at least liked heavily, and find myself wanting more with each new addition.  Zoe and Sawyer were a great combination of characters and they complement each other so well you never would have guessed they weren’t made for one another from the beginning.
Zoe’s life has been complicated ever since she was fixated on by one of her coworkers, a doctor at the hospital she loved, and even when she took the appropriate actions, no one believed her.  Six months later and she’s finally starting to feel a bit more comfortable, but the sudden reappearance of her stalker sends her running to the home of her friends Mina and Victor.  She never expected she’d made the best decision of her life, for two very different reasons.  Sawyer McCabe, Victor’s newest coworker, never imagined a visit to his friends’ home would land him in the middle of a murder investigation, but when he meets the alluring and terrified Zoe, he’s pulled immediately to her sensuality and sweetness.  Luckily for Zoe, Mina and Victor are more than willing to be her alibi, which she needs when her stalker is found murdered the next day.  Sawyer and Zoe are stuck together now as he protects her and helps her get through the disaster her life has become, but the closer they get the less they are able to deny their attraction.  Will their new relationship last through the danger stalking Zoe now, or will they fold under the pressure?
I loved Zoe and Sawyer’s story, though I felt really bad for the circumstances that brought them together.  I guess it would have been too much to ask for the heroine of the story to simply find her man and fall in love without someone out to kill her, especially in this series.  Zoe is a quirky and lovable woman, when she’s not terrified by her stalker, and she refuses to let Sawyer walk all over her.  I loved seeing her defending herself and taking a stand against those out to hurt her.  Sawyer was a great guy, though a little on the alpha side, and I never thought I’d like him as much as previous heroes, but he definitely caught my interest from the beginning.  Together the passion was combustible and the drama was intriguing.  I also enjoyed seeing Victor and Mina, my favorite couple in the series, and am looking forward to seeing more of both couples in future stories.  Red stone Security remains one of my favorite series of short erotic stories, though I still hold out hope for a full-length story in the future.  If you haven’t grabbed on to this series yet, I highly recommend grabbing the first box set (Red Stone Security Vol 1) and once you’re hooked along with me, you can enjoy the entire series and lust for what’s next as I do.  And not to be forgotten is the spin-off Serafina: Sin City series, which is almost as great as the original.  Keep the magic coming Katie!
